What is the difference between using SDK vs using TWAIN in my software development?
The SDK provides a DCT-specific interface that is standard for all of our scanner models. It provides a relatively simple C language API to control all aspects of the scanner. Documentation, sample code, and developer support can be provided upon request.
TWAIN is a standard scanner interface. It provides a scanner control UI but also supports UI suppression for applications that want to use a custom UI. Documentation, sample code, and developer support are provided by the TWAIN Working Group at TWAIN.org.
